Twelve more completed blocks from the Farm Girl Vintage Book. These blocks are so much fun to do. I wish I had completed two of each blocks in different colors. It is much easier to cut two at the same time than to pull all my scraps back out later for another.
As I look back I can see where I would like to try them in all sorts of color ways. My sheep fabric is very appropriate as it is white background with tan curlies but there is not much contrast with the background fabric. The pumpkin looks very BIG and bright alongside the other blocks. Maybe I should have toned it down a bit.
If only. How many times have I had the same thought about my color choices. I’m sure when it’s all out together it will be fine.

Thank you so much for your comment and for checking out my blocks. Sometimes we just need a ‘it will be fine’ from someone else. I think we all second guess our color choices. One time when I was trying to audition fabric to see if it would go together a lady behind me in line said, “honey, if I put it together it goes together.” 🙂 I try to keep that in mind and not stress out about the little things.

Oh my goodness – the sheep block is absolutely adorable! And what sage advice from the lady at the counter, I am going to have to remember that one.

Thank you Kandy. I was worried that the sheep didn’t have enough contrast between it and the background fabric but I did love the curly print fabric.
