It’s Wednesday again! The Moda Blockheads Block of the Week #9 is the Ohio Star Variation by Jo Morton. I know I say this every week, but every week it is true: I love this block. I am getting a lot of experience with HST, placements, and color selections and I am looking forward to putting the blocks together and enjoying the result.
The Moda Blockheads Facebook page is a wonderful place to see all the different blocks that come from one pattern. I am amazed at the talent and imagination of the quilters.

Thank you. The blocks will probably just blend together when I have finished as all my colors are about the same. If I do not like them in the end I can always add sashings to define the blocks. 🙂

Thank you Ms. Abbie. I love the center fabric. Very neutral but the trees are pretty.

I love the center square! I want to do more “fussy-cutting” in the future – I love when a block has a picture/specific image in it!

Thank you. I liked the center fabric and wanted to use it where the tree would be appreciated. 🙂 Looking forward to seeing more of your things.
