Moda Blockheads BOW #24 of 48

DSCN1174

We are at the half way mark for Moda Blockheads. Block #24 is called Corn No Beans from Carrie Nelson of Moda Fabrics. All I can say about this block is, “Whew” but it is a striking block when completed. HST are usually not a problem for me other than all the joined seams on back and I am amazed at all the designs that can be achieved from the different placements. Using the Magic 8 method of making the HST was really a time saver, but I think they would have been easier and quicker using the triangle papers or the raw edge placement.

Thank you Carrie for another fun and beautiful block.

I am a retired grandmother living in hot and sunny Florida. I spend most of my days doing what I love: sewing and quilting. I have a spoiled rotten Boston Terrier named Sami who keeps me busy mostly by cleaning up after her and refilling holes in the yard that she insists on digging and burying her toys. Of course then she digs them up and brings them into the house resulting in...you guessed it...more cleaning. I will be posting pictures of Sami, quilts, flowers, and other things as they come along. Glad to have you join me.

  1. Hi Peggy,
I just love your fabric choices – I think this is going to be a fabulous quilt. Do you know what it’s going to look like when all the blocks are complete or is it a mystery? ~smile~ Roseanne

      1. HAHA – I’m not great at not knowing either! Yet you are doing TWO other mystery quilts that I know of!! What were we thinking? We’re trying to expand our box, I guess. ~smile~
